Easdale Island is situated at the western point of Seil Island, approximately 15 miles south of Oban in the beautiful county of Argyll. Fabulous views are to be had from Easdale, looking towards Mull, Scarba, Jura, the Garvellachs and many more islands. |
|
From Oban, which is easily accessible
from all major Scottish cities and towns, take the A816 south. After
a short time take the B844 which is sign posted for Easdale. You will
cross the very famous 'Bridge Over the Atlantic' which brings you
onto Seil Island. Keep driving south, until you come to fork on the
road just past the village of Balvicar. Take the right fork and follow
this road for 2 miles. This will bring you to the village of Ellenabeich.
Leave your car here and catch the passenger ferry to Easdale Island.

Oban has a number of bus (and train)

on to the ferry for Easdale Island. Phone Oban and District Buses
Ltd, on
01631 562856, for the latest timetable. |

As my granny used to say, 'All roads
lead to the Puffer Bar'. So dust down that hitching thumb and we'll
have a pint ready for you!
